Big Data Evangelist Fractal Analytics - Mumbai (Mumbai Area, India)

Job Description

• Conceptualize, architect and evangelize Fractal’s BIG Data Advanced Analytics platform to handle client and external data across a range of clients
• Guide the full lifecycle of the BIG Data solution based on BI technologies and open source BIG Data technologies such as HADOOP, Hive & PIG
• Be the principal technology evangelist at Fractal around the BIG Data space
• Build a strong  team of BIG Data experts and engineers
• Port Fractal’s current delivery infrastructure on to the BIG Data Platform
• Conceptualize deployment of Fractal’s solutions on cloud infrastructure

Desired Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of software engineering experience around BI, Big Data and Cloud computing.
• At least 3 years of experience in open source BIG Data platforms such as Hadoop, HBase, Pig, Hive etc
• Understanding and experience of real-time analytics, NoSQL datastores, data modeling and data management, analytical tools, languages, or libraries (e.g. SAS, SPSS, R, Mahout).
• Knowledge of BI OLAP tools such as Cognos, Business Objects,WebFocus etc
• Experience in Map Reduce based ETL technologies
• Hands-on experience with "productionalizing" Hadoop applications (e.g.administration, configuration management, monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning)
• Previousexperience with high-scale or distributed RDBMS (Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum,Aster Data, Vertica)
• Strong algorithm skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to lead initiatives and people toward common goals
• Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills
