Opportunity:
This is your opportunity to become a critical member of one of Altisource’s fastest growing divisions: the Consumer Real Estate Portal group. In this position, you will be responsible for leading the analytics team to establish a function that will deliver actionable insights, analyses and recommendations that shape and inform the day-to-day business and long-term growth of the business, including GoHoming.com, the premier marketplace for buying and selling real estate‐owned and foreclosed properties. Preferred candidates will have management experience in decision modeling and strategy in a consumer oriented online company, with a strong understanding of fundamental statistical methods and contemporary quantitative tools. This position directly reports to the Director, Strategy & Analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a highly-effective cross-functional team of analysts, researchers, and data modelers to deliver business insights and outstanding results
- Establish key performance indicators and standardized reporting to deliver perceptive and actionable recommendations
- Manage project deliverables that focus on consumer decision-making models, customer segmentation strategy analyses, psychologically-optimized customer interactions, and experimental tests
- Collaborate with product and marketing to develop A/B and multivariate tests and experiments
- Work with internal and external resources to deliver data-driven insights about customer behavior, traffic patterns, revenue, conversion, navigation, and engagement
- Work with executive organization to evolve advanced analytics intellectual capital
- Develop and implement team training in advanced analytics tools
- Stay current on advanced analytics tools and trends
Key Result Areas:
- Contribute to overall strategy development that identifies and packages consumer analytics technologies and services into solutions that are designed to meet various vertical market requirements
- Drive the continued evolution of the groups automated decision and negotiation packages
- Partner with marketing organization to develop impactful and insight driven marketing programs and online experiences
- Provide data driven insight to push the continued performance of the organization and increase revenue and profits
- Identify, collect and evaluate key performance indicators through the development of automated, analytics-driven reporting and dashboards
Desired Skills & Experience
- 5-7 years experience in an advanced analytics role
- 3+ years experience leading teams, communicating / presenting to executives and demonstrated ability to deliver results through advanced quantitative project methods
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics or other highly quantitative field, advanced degree and certifications preferred
- Expert knowledge of statistical modeling and analytics tools including SAS, SPSS, MatLab, and SQL required, additional knowledge of web-based tools (e.g. WebTrends) a plus
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced statistical techniques, management of large data and understanding of data quality metrics
- Great communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate data, context, and implications to business stakeholders and senior leaders
- Strong conceptual thinking and ideation skills; passion for brainstorming ideas, sketching concepts and connecting pieces to solve real consumer problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences
- Natural curiosity and passion for challenging assumptions and a strong belief that there has to be a better way
